Artykuł stanowi pierwszą część studium na temat roli płci w procesie tworzenia wartości w sektorach niematerialnych. Sektory te zostały zdefiniowane. Przedstawiony został model transakcyjny tworzenia wartości oparty na materialnych i niematerialnych przepływach. Zaprezentowane zostały podstawowe koncepcje oparte na badaniach. Koncepcje te wskazują dużą koncentrację na określonych zagadnieniach, brak podejścia systemowego do zagadnienia oraz dużą rozbieżność metodologiczną. Dlatego część druga pracy zawierać będzie wyniki badań własnych autora.
