The paper presents the effect of some soil properties on the wear course of steel 38GSA. The research was carried out in laboratory conditions, employing the method of a revolving pan. The studies conducted allowed to determine the quantitative relations between the granulometric composition, moisture, porosity, cohesion and capillary potential of different soil types and wear intensity.
