The paper contains description of epoxy coating destruction processes under the influence of ultraviolet radiation. It was stated that it resulted in silver crazes appearing in coatings what significantly decreased their strength. The coating brittleness increased also as a result of coating oxidation under the influence of this medium. The brittleness of coatings as well as silver crazes is the reason of progressive increase of coatings erosive wear.
