Assessment of physical properties of the pharmaceutical high-molecular substances and emulsions performed according the recommendation of currently valid Polish Pharmacopoeia has been found not fully satisfactory from the point of view of pharmaceutical technology and analysis. The study whose results are reported presents an attempt at description and analysis of their physical properties using the rheological methodology. Physical properties of the macromolecules CMC-Na, HPMC, ALG-Na, MC used in the technology of drug forms, are analysed. The compounds studied are characterised by the rheological methods using the mathematical models.
