By the close of the 1970s drilling works commenced along the Cracow-Zakopane route, starting from the uplift towards Rdzawka village. Shortly afterwards the works became visible in Bańska Niżna village in the area adjacent to the route. From the south it was limited by Biały Dunajec village - the seat of a county formed by the conjunction of two smaller units: Biały Dunajec and Szaflary counties. Drilling works made ground for numerous speculations at that time. The highlanders are very curious people, stubborn and resolved to get what they want. This time, information about the mysterious findings discovered by the drillers immediately spread from the Gorce to the Tatra Mts. Once it was coal and oil, the other time precious ores. The works proceeded and the curiosity grew up. The drillers withdrew and separated from the nosiness of local community to the extent which could not remain unnoticed to the eye of an inquisitive observer.
