Possibilities of geothermal energy utilisation for agricultural purposes in the Small Poland (theses)

Autorzy artykułu przedstawili krótką analizę możliwości zastosowania energii geotermalnej w różnych gałęziach przemysłu rolniczego wraz z oceną liczby nowych miejsc pracy, powstających dzięki budowie zakładów geotermalnych. Z analizy przeprowadzonej dla Małopolski wynika, że realizacja budowy 100 zakładów geotermalnych z kaskadowym wykorzystaniem energii cieplnej obejmie 25 lat. W tym okresie może powstawać około 6 tys. nowych miejsc pracy rocznie. Zasoby wód geotermalnych w Polsce są na tyle duże, aby można zaprojektować 10-15 systemów geotermalnych, podobnych do proponowanego dla Małopolski. Rozwój systemów wykorzystania energii geotermalnej pozwoli na zatrudnienie w całym kraju około 1,5 min osób.
The authors of the paper present a short analysis of possible applications of geothermal energy to various branches of agriculture along with the evaluation of employment in view of the new geothermal stations to be built. The analysis carried out for the Small Poland region has shown that the construction of 100 cascaded geothermal stations shall take 25 years. In this period about 6,000 new places of work are assumed to be created each year. Judging from the size of the Polish resources of geothermal waters, the project of 10 to 15 geothermal systems, similar to the ones proposed for the Small Poland region, seems quite Feasible Accordingly, the development of systems for geothermal energy utilisation should give employment to about 1.5 mln people in Poland.
