The definition of space is very intuitional. We can treat space as indefinite extent, settled with human and social symbols, which arc both material and virtual. The Space during the process of giving it meanings and definitions becomes a Spot. The Identity of the Spot changes according to intentions, personality and circumstances of an individual. The workshop consisted of a discussion part and a designing part relating to the programme and activity of the Cultural and Social Centre. The aim was the assumption of the programme for a typical center as a specimen for a particular edifice. Living in housing estate is normally understood as individual and intimate. Actually, it is a social activity strongly connected with the basic aspects of life such as safety, privacy, neighborhood and social life. Human life consists of sophisticated network of mutual connections: psychological, sociological, social and cultural. The Cultural and Social Centre contains inner space, vivid and active associated with the outside world, which is less and less clear both for the young and old people. During design process we should not think about basic needs only - neglecting less important needs may lead to lack of acceptation, discomfort, exclusion and isolation.
