Identification of hybrid model for chemical processes

In this paper, an application of the sensitivity equation approach for parameter identification of a hybrid model for industrial methanation process for ammonia production is presented. A hybrid model structure for chemical process is introduced. The computer simulation tests for hybrid model identification were performed using software tools created in Matlab (The Math Works, Inc.) program environment. The advantages and disadvantages of the identification algorithm are presented. Possible difficulties and ways of practical implementation of the applied identification method for complex hybrid models for industrial chemical processes are outlined. The hybrid model identification results are presented and discussed.
