Dumps with overdue plants protection agents are one of the most dangerous objects threatening the natural environment in Poland. The storing of overdue of the plants protection agents started in sixties of XX century. In June 1965 in the contemporary Kraków province in all communal cooperatives "Peasant Mutual Aid" dealt with the problem of overdue plants protection agents by burying them in shallow earth pits dig on the terrain occupied by cooperatives. The fact that along with time amount of overdue plants protection agents was increasing, caused working out in 1971 instruction which in certain degree regulated the building of constructions in which depositing of overdue plants protection agents should be done. It was recommended to build burials consisting of circle wells with diameter 1-2 metres and depth 3-4 metres. In one object couple of dozens of such wells were built. Moreover for liquidation of overdue plants protection agents military fortifications were used quite commonly, from II world war shooting bunkers to Prussian and Russian defensive forts from XIX century [1]. In burials, not only overdue plants protection agents of older generation, characterized with large toxicity and durability were stored, but also overdue medicines, sometimes also chemical reagents coming mainly from school laboratories. Their part in the majority of cases is insignificant. The fact, that usually all chemicals in burials are mixed, there is the no possibility of wastes segregation, causes that such burials are called "pesticidal bombs" or "bombs with the delayed ignition" [1, 5]. When planning location of burials no environmental conditions were taken into account, maybe except of one - try not to locate them in the direct neighbourhood of village or agricultural buildings. There are 10 burials according to current data on the terrain of podlaskie province (5 of those were closed down) and 13 identified store-houses there are 27 tons of useless plants protection agents accumulated. 5 burials are still waiting to be closed down. There are about 13,9 Mg of dangerous wastes deposited in them. The total quantity of overdue pesticides in Poland is estimated to about 60 000 tons. Employees of department of the environment claim, that at this moment the best solution would be building modern landfills, in which content of still existing burials and store-houses would be deposited. Burials are at present practically "stray", in spite the fact, that come under three departments: agriculture, environment and health. In the future several actions should be undertaken in order not to close down old burials, but also to protect grounds after them so, pesticides present in soil, concrete and different elements do not migrate to the environment
