EN

Virtual reconstruction of building objects is made in order to recreate the appearance of non-existing objects or to make digital copies of items currently existing. These goals are realized making use of different data types and various three-dimensional digital representation of spatial objects. In general, representation of solids is orientated towards design, while measuring data model is orientated towards the way the world is perceived by devices and measuring techniques. This divergence results in obvious problems with compatibility. A possible solution is to equip both data models with representations that bring them together to enable direct mapping of world perception into the spatial model representation. In this paper modeling techniques of three-dimensional architectural (building) objects are presented, as well as available 3D objects representations and data sets possible to be visualized making use of these techniques. Moreover, an attempt is made to determine fields of research aimed at bringing together the two data models mentioned above.
