he notions Widespread object or Widespread system are more and more frequently applied in different domains of engineering. These expressions can concern space widespread property, complexity or multiplicity of structure. Performing the diagnosing process of such systems often encounters difficulties. One is faced with a number of problems connected with recording many different signals, obtaining a right image of condition of the diagnosed system on the basis of these signals, transmitting data in right time. In this article the above-mentioned difficulties of diagnosing are presented on the basis of a specific widespread object - the road transport system.
