PL

Procesowi modernizacji poddawane są zwykle zakłady przemysłowe funkcjonujące w obiektach charakteryzujących się małą elastycznością przestrzenną. Modernizacja zespołów przemysłowych, usytuowanych w środowisku miejskim, będących pod ochroną konserwatorską, wymaga oprócz uwzględnienia czynników ekonomiczno-technicznych1, zwrócenia szczególnej uwagi na nowe uformowanie architektoniczne i ich relacje do istniejącego środowiska przestrzenno-kulturowego. Istotne znaczenie w tym względzie mają wytyczne i wskazania miejskich służb konserwatorskich. Zagadnienie modernizacji zakładu przemysłowego, zlokalizowanego na terenie objętym ochroną konserwatorską przedstawiono na przykładzie modernizowanego browaru Piast we Wrocławiu przy ul. Jedności Narodowej .

The first postulates and brewery modernization programme were specified in 1994. Studies were carried out on the basis of these postulates in 1995, and conccptional projects were elaborated relating to development and modernization of the brewery on the present plot of ground. The 1st stage of modernization was realized in 1995 - one battery of fermentation silos, and partly modernized were the brewery and engine room. At the end of 1995 the "Piast" brewery took over the former Sanitary Production Works whose building lot of an area of 0,8 ha adjoined the terrain of the brewery from the west. This act caused a change in the postulates related to the modernization and development of the brewery. In 1996 a building project was worked out for the brewery taking into consideration the newly acquired terrains of the Faience, locating there the bottling plant and the beer warehouse. The authors of the architectural concept regret that for reasons beyond their control the realization of this object departs essentially from the project approved for realization and which formed the basis for the building permission. The authors hope that the present form of this object is only a temporary stage in the process of modernization of the brewery and that during the realization of further stages the building will acquire the architectural image intended, during the building process. However, it is astonishing that up to the present authorities which arc responsible for the consistence of the investment realization with the project, did not compel the Investor to restore the evident damage which has been done to the historical industrial building in the street of Jedności Narodowej.
