Abstrakty

The off-gases of coal mines contained about 0.5-1.0% of methane that polluted the air and affected the atmosphere ozone layer. On this purpose an oxide catalyst was developed for the complete combustion of this low concentrated methane-air mixtures in order to generate heat. This high thermal stable catalyst based on alumina, together with Mn, rare earth element, and alkaline metal oxides.
