The statistical analysis of data on the influence of sulfurous low rank coals characteristics upon H2S evolution has been carried out. The total and pyrite sulfur content had the greatest influence. The relation of H2S evolution with organic the sulfur content had a complex character and no correlation with coal conversion was observed.
