Tribological properties of mineral engine lubricant with liquid crystals additives are analyzed in the article. Regression equations describing friction process of steel coupling being lubricated with mineral engine lubricant with and without cholesterol liquid crystals additives are presented. Dependence of friction coefficient on load of contact bodies, concentration of liquid crystals in lubricant and surface roughness of contact bodies is established.
