EN

The effect of adsorbent chemical modification on efficiency of ester base oil refining was investigated. Four adsorbents with different properties and chemical composition were chosen and then modified with alkalic and acidic substances to change surface characteristics. The effectiveness of modified adsorbent was evaluated on the basis of acid value and colour changes of ester oil during the clay contacting method. three oil bases (two of them are industrially produced) containing high value of oorganic acid remainning after esterification process were selected to refining process.
