Problems of Metrology of Dynamic Random Variables and of Acquistion of Information Concerning Loads of Supporting Structures of Engineering Machines.

In the article a system for determining the state of load of the supporting structure of big engineering earth moving machines is presented. On the example of surface mining machines, a conception of the construction of an automatic measurement and acquisition system is described as well as the results of investigations being carried on. An illustration of these investigations are courses of orthogonal bending moments and compressive forces acting on the construction, obtained during the operational use of these machines in their normal working conditions. An analysis has been performed of the results obtained on the same machines when working in entirely different geological conditions. A methodology of estimation of asymptotic distributions is proposed for the evaluation of quantiles of characteristic, computational and extreme loads, as well as a way of estimating the time of return of these loads. Such a system has been developed; it is used for carrying on long-term investigations in the Institute of Machines Design and Operation of Wroclaw University of Technology.
