Increasing consuming of energy and pollution of the environment inspire scientists to search new technologies in electrical and electronic engineering industry. From this point of view application of lasers is very promising and becoming more popular. The cleanness of the process and economically using of the produced energy are the main advantage of this technology. Laser welding of the small parts with very high precision and materials, unweldable by means of another methods as well as small heated region during this process enable us to use this technology in microelectronics. The most environmental friendly feature of the laser micro-technologies is reducing the consumption of lead in such joints. This is especially useful in the industry with the requirements of high degree of cleanness e.g. electronic manufacturing. The paper presents some examples of the technologies using laser in electronic and electrical engineering industry especially ones that have been elaborated in the Division of Materials Science and Electrotechnology at the Technical University of Lodz.
