W artykule przedstawiono doświadczenia polskiego budownictwa górniczego w wykonawstwie obiektów podziemnych, które wykonywane były na terenie Polski i poza granicami kraju. W skróconej wersji przedstawiono technologie stosowane dla budowy tuneli drogowych, tuneli metra i obiektów hydrotechnicznych. W podsumowaniu dokonano oceny doświadczeń uzyskanych w trakcie projektowania i wykonawstwa obiektów.

Underground construction is a branch of the techniques from the border of mining and building, including the methods and manners of the realization, maintenance, repairing and reconstruction of excavations (or structural objects) in which the mining technologies (first of all breaking the rock mass and protecting the walls of the excavation with the technological and final support) are used. In the post-war years the animate development of the mining began, and then - the mining construction, executing opening and preparatory mining excavations (shafts, cross-cuts, main transportation headings) during construction and enlargement of deep mines. In the last years the renewed increase of the interest in the underground construction as one from manners of the civilization, ecological and social problem solving, is observed. The achievements of the mining construction in Poland, the use of mining technologies in the underground not-mining construction and perspectives of development of the Polish mining construction have been described in the paper. The necessity of the utilization of these experiences in underground construction have been pointed in the conclusions.
