EN

In this paper the structure of high-power audio amplifier (of several hundred Watt) consisting of integrated power amplifier and external power transistors is presented. Transistors are applied to enlarge the output voltage of the amplifier to the value greater than the maximum output voltage of the used integrated circuit. Design objectives for the recognized circuit solution are discussed. Furthermore, relevant formulas to perform calculations on an introductory step of the amplifier design process are given.
