EN

In this paper the modelling of the secondary breakdown for hybrid audio amplifiers is presented. The proposed analog behavioral model consists of the macromodel of the recognized hybrid amplifier and external behavioral circuitry. It enables the monitoring of the instantaneous operation point trajectory of the amplifier with respect to its safe operating area and detection of the failure conditions. The parameters of the model are obtained directly by using the manufacturer's data sheet, The results of the PSpice simulation illustrating the proposed model operation are also shown.
