Abstrakty

EN

On the basis of Grüneisen relation a direct temperature dependence of isothermal bulk modulus is obtained. With an assumption that the Gruneisen parameter .gamma., the volume of solid V and the ratio cp / cv are constant, it appears that the derived expression is similar to Anderson's relation for temperature dependence of the adiabatic bulk modulus of monoatomic solids. In combination with this relation, the expression derived here offers a good explanation the Wachtman's empirical relation for the adiabatic Young modulus.
