Abstrakty

EN

The aim of this paper was to apply Acoustic Emission (AE) signal monitoring to detect abnormal conditions arising in different stages of progressive punch process. The authors describe the changes in AE signal intensity caused by four modifications of punching conditions. The AE sensor was placed directly on brass tape feedstock processed by the punch. The experimental results led to conclusion that there is a possibility of assessment of a defecting single element of working progressive punch worktool using on-line monitoring of emitted AE signal.
