Abstrakty

EN

The authors investigated the electric field about two selected 110kv composite insulators using computer simulation. Field intensity in the most stressed areas of a high potential cap was determined on the basis of the electric field obtained. The authors proposed some changes of cap shapes and dimensions which results in multiple decrease of electric field intensity in the sensitive area of a triple insulator-electrode-air junction.
