Abstrakty
A pulse width modulation technique based on equal area concept used in utility interactive inverter supplied from photovoltaic supplies of PC stand alone/grid connected systems is presented. The pulse width modulation technique employed in this paper is suitable to handle the non-linear insolation dependent photovoltaic voltages, which gives low total harmonic distortion with output voltage and frequency control. Mathematical models are established and an analysis method is presented to predict the qualitative performance parameters of PWM technique. The results show the present inverter system is capable of providing constant Volts/Hertz operation. This feature is particularly suitable for variable speed ac motor drive systems for pumping applications.
