MMS (Manufacturing Message Specification) is a communication standard which is implemented over the application layer of the OSI (Open System Interconnection) reference model. As a communication between entities implies data exchange, it is interesting to generate the communication system from the information system study. This paper with an approach to specify a companion standard by using the OMT (Object Modelling Technique) methodology. The main purpose of this paper is to define translation rules between the MMS representation and the OMT object model. At first, the paper presents the MMS standard and the OMT environment. These concept are then formalised by using mathematical functions. Afterwards we introduce the translation rules based on this mathematical representation. Finally, an example shows the OMT object model of a robot. These translation rules are applied to represent the robot companion standard.

MMS (Manufacturing Message Specification) jest standardem komunikacyjnym stosowanym w warstwie aplikacyjnej modelu odniesienia OSI (Open System Interconnection). Komunikacja to wymiana danych, jest zatem rzeczą interesującą stworzyć system komunikacyjny na podstawie analizy systemu informatycznego. Zasadniczym celem pracy jest sformułowanie reguł przejęcia między przedstawicielem MMS a modelem OMT obiektu. Na wstępie przedstawiono standard MMS i środowisko OMT. Odpowiednie pojęcia zostały następnie sformalizowane w postaci matematycznej. Stały się one podstawą do wprowadzenia wspomnianych reguł przejęcia. W pracy przytoczono także praktyczny przykład przedstawienia robota w postaci modelu obiektowego OMT.
