EN
Structured packings find increasing applications as element of distillation columns.However, their high evaluation and sensitivity to flow parameters require possibly accurate design methods, especially in the case of separation of multicomponent mixtures. Results of the author's own investigations compared with published date on mass transfer coefficients determined for many structured packings are discussed in the study. A standard method to determine these coefficients has been proposed. Using this method it is possible to predict steady and dynamic states of columns for distillation of multicomponent mixtures.
