In this work the measuring stand for thermal diffusivity investigations has been presented. The results of studies coal briquettes filled by sorptive gases CH4 and CO2 and inert gases Ar and Kr under pressure varying range from 0.003 MPa up to 1.1 MPa have been shown. Research of gas pressure influence on thermal diffusivity coefficient enables to determine the state of gas filling the pores. Filling of coal pores by gas i.e. substance which thermal diffusivity is many times in order higher than for coal should increase diffusivity of coal - gas system. As gas pressure increases, this coefficient should decrease for free gas i.e. the gas which mean free path is considerably shorter than pores dimension. Increasing of thermal diffusivity with increasing gas pressure indicates that gas behaves like rarefied gas. A little diminish this coefficient for maximal gas pressure can be treated as boundary state. Above this point gas behaves like free gas. Carbon dioxide reaches this point at lower pressure than other examined gases. In this work the measuring stand for thermal diffusivity investigations has been presented.
