A multi-product assembly-to-order manufacturing system with in-line quality control is examined in the paper. Quality control is carried on inspection stations located at some work stations within the manufacturing system, Increasing role of products' customization leads to importance grow of a multi-product systems that enables to produce a wide variety of goods. The article depicts an approach to optimization of inspection station allocation by means of a simulation model.
