EN

The new technological line of polyethylene terephthalate) (PET) recycling in ELANA-PET Plant in Toruń has been presented. The installation, main steps of technology and innovative solutions have been described. The secondary use of obtained PET recyclate has been listed. Because the well-educated staff will be soon needed for further development of the recycling technologies, education and training of young people is necessary. The second part of this article contains information about the teaching program in the field of plastics recycling and the equipment of the recycling laboratory for students in Faculty of Chemistry of the Nicholas Copernicus University in Toruń. The cooperation between the scientists, the manufacturers and the officials in Toruń as well as the perspectives of plastic recycling development are mentioned.
