The extraction-stripping experiments carried out in a continuous way in a laboratory mixer-settler confirmed the possibility of effective recovery of Zn(II) from HCl solutions with tributyl phosphate and subsequent stripping with water. The process is stable, without great separation problems and with high efficiencies of recovery.
