Abstrakty
Melamine polyphosphate belongs to a group of safe non-halogenated flame retardants for organic natural and synthetic polymers. Its advantages are high thermal resistance, and low water-solubility. Depending on the manufacturing method used and process conditions, melamine polyphosphates differ essentially with each other in physico-chemical properties, as it results from own examination, including thermal analysis (TGA). Operation performance of melamine phosphate as flame retardant for polypropylene was tested using a Cone calorimeter ace. to ISO 5660.
