Abstrakty
Metathesis of methyl erucate was carried out in the presence of a WOCl4/Et4Pb (Et = ethyl) catalyst on a small laboratory scale (1 g) and on a large laboratory scale (800 g). In either case, the yield and selectivity of metathesis products were identical. This larger scale allowed to separate the main products by applying two distillation and two crystallization stage procedures. A detailed analysis of the products allowed to infer about the reactions occurring in the system studied.
