Literature compendium relating with problems connected with techniques production smooth yarns from staple fibers was executed. It was affirmed that the most useful technique used to production these yarns is still ring spinning, particularly to the processing of wool and the chemical fibers of woolen type. Open end techniques also deserve on attention, particularly rotor ones and the pneumatic MJS and the MVS ones, both under in relation to growth of productive speeds, as and the quality of got yarns. Produced these techniques yarns can have also the use to production of clothes articles. However these yarns were often used to the production of decorative articles where their quality is not the most significant.
