To develop control systems of nonlinear electromechanical systems operated on the base of a synchronous machine with permanent magnets (PMSM), particularly for high-precision dynamic systems, it is necessary to use a mathematical and computer simulation models that adequately reflect such phenomena as real law of induction distribution in the air gap, effect of armature reaction, magnetic saturation of paths of the machine's working flux, iron loss. The best way to account these phenomena is constructing 2D and 3D field models of electrical machines. However, these mathematical models with distributed parameters are complex and not suitable for fast computer simulation. The article suggests to build the simple computer models on the results of previously conducted field research. The study of PMSM with the four characteristic ways of placing of permanent magnets on the rotor is conducted and the spectral distribution of magnetic induction in air gap is estimated. On the basis of the constructed field model of electromagnetic processes in the machine's armature obtained the dependences of self and mutual inductances of phase windings versus the angle of rotor position are obtained. With the use fo the obtained results the simple mathematical model of PMSM was developed, In which the descriptions on phase and transformation to the rotor reference frames are combined. The corresponding computer model in Matlab-Simulink is developed, too. The results of simulation of machine's start obtained by the field modeling and computer simulation showed a good convergence.
