The simulation model of a switched reluctance motor

Abstrakty
The mathematical model of a switched reluctance motor which takes nonlinearity of magnetic circuit into consideration has been presented in the paper. Construction of the simulation model using Matlab/Simulink system has been discussed. The basis of the simulation model are flux-current-angle and torque-current-angle characteristics which were received by field calculations with the finite element method. Some chosen simulation results (current and torque waveform) have been included. On the basis of the obtained results comparative analysis of current and of torque waveform has been performed. The analysis also covered some results from laboratory measurements.
