Solubility parameter and its components calculated by IGC method

Inverse gas chromatography (IGC) method has been applied for the estimation of the solubility parameter for pharmaceutical excipients and polyethylene glycols. Experimental values of the Flory-Huggins interaction parameter between material and test solutes were used to determine the solubility parameters according to Guillet and his co-workers' procedure. Hansen solubility parameters (HSP) were calculated using Voelkel and Janas's concept for estimating the components of a corrected solubility parameter.
