Abstrakty
Mo and CoMo catalysts were supported on carbon black composite (CBC) carriers. Catalytic activity of supported on CBC sulfided Mo and CoMo as well as of a carburized Mo was compared with activity of sulfided CoMo/Al2O3 in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) and dearomatization of two gas oil fractions differing in sulfur content. It was stated that HDS activity of CBC supported catalysts both sulfided CoMo and carburized Mo is not much lower than activity of sulfided CoMo/Al2O3. The dearomatization activity of carburized Mo/CBC was close to the activity of sulfided CoMo/Al2O3. Catalytic activity of carburized Mo/CBC in gas oil hydrotreatment depends on the sulfur content in the feed. It is concluded that CBC material is a good candidate for supporting of HDS catalysts for removing of residual sulfur however its specific surface area should be improved.
