Abstrakty
The effects of extreme meteorological phenomena covering a vast area may cause a huge failure of a power system. Problem of large scale failures of overhead lines increases in Poland. In order to prevent power failures and mitigation their effects is necessary to monitor the parameters defining the current weather conditions. In paper was described the instrument for measurement of wet snow loads on overhead power line conductors including the sample data acquired in winter.
