Jubileusz 100 lat od twórczego spotkania największych pionierów modernizmu, jest okazją do przypomnienia, refleksji i oceny najważniejszych, błyskotliwych, nowatorskich tendencji Ruchu Nowoczesnego w architekturze i urbanistyce. Niekwestionowane zasługi oraz kontrowersje wokół wkładu i dziedzictwa modernizmu międzywojennego i powojennego są platformą do dyskusji nad ponadczasowością i aktualną przydatnością tego dorobku. Obecnie, w dobie transformacji krajów postkomunistycznych, integracji europejskiej i globalizacji - osiągnięcia pionierów i kontynuatorów Ruchu Nowoczesnego nabierają nowego znaczenia. Wkład tytanicznych, kontrowersyjnych przywódców i stworzonej przez nich nowej epoki wielkiej architektury i wielkich pomyłek to: funkcjonalizm i formalizm, abstrakcja i ekspresja, styl międzynarodowy i stylistyki lokalne, indywidualizm i uniformizm, wyrafinowany artyzm i wulgarna produkcja masowa, niezależność i klientyzm, integracja sztuk i prostacka ekonomiczna inżynieria, prymat kultury i prymat natury. Ten dorobek, w refleksyjnym i selektywnym zrozumieniu, stanowi kapitalną inspirację i podstawę dla współczesnej twórczości, w warunkach zrównoważonego rozwoju i kultury ponowoczesnej.

The jubilee of 100 years since a meeting of three greatest pioneers of Modern Movement, is an opportunity for reminding, reflection and evaluation of most important, spectacular, innovating trends of the Modern Movement in architecture and urbanism. Undisputable achievements and controversies around the input and heritage of Modernism before and after the W.W. II, are platform for discussion upon evergreen and recent usefulness of this legacy. Recently, in time of transformation in post communist countries, European integration and globalization - achievements of pioneers and followers of Modern Movement, gain a new meaning and importance. A contribution of titanic, controversial leaders, and created by them: new era of great architecture and great mistakes, is as follows: functionalism and formalism, abstraction and expression, International Style and local styles, individualism and uniformity, refined artistry and vulgar mass production, independence and dependence, correspondence des arts and ornery economic engineering, primacy of culture and preference of nature. This achievements, in reflective and selected understanding, are perfect inspiration and base for contemporary creation, according to conditions of sustainable progress and Post Modern culture.
