Piecewise R&D dynamics on costs

We consider an R&D cost reduction function in a Cournot competition model inspired by the logistic equation. We present the associated game and observe the existence of three different economical behaviors depending upon the firms’ decisions in terms of investments. We exhibit the boundaries of these investment regions.
