Exposition of the barley straw as a technique reducing algae blooms in water reservoirs - a myth or an effective tool?
Języki publikacji
Abstrakty
The article reviews scientific literature on the use of the barley straw in reducing algae blooms in water reservoirs. It is one of the few methods of water reservoirs reclamation fulfilling the following conditions: easy to use, safe for the environment and relatively low-cost. The article presents the state of knowledge on the barley straw action and the examples of its use in different countries, as well as advantages and disadvantages of this relatively new method.
