Abstrakty
In 0.020 mol L-1 sulfuric acid medium arsenazo-III compound can be oxidized by potassium bromate. The presence of trace Ti(lV) has a catalytic effect on this reaction. This property has been utilized in a new catalytic kinetic spectrophotometric method for deter-:' mirmtion of titanium. This method is based on the measurement of a difference in the absor-bance at 528 nm between the reaction solutions in the catalytic and non-catalytic systems. The measured absorbance difference was linearly related to the concentration of Ti(IV) in the range 4.0-44.0 ng mL-1. The detection limit of the method was 1.60 ng mL-1. The proposed procedure has been successfully applied to determination of trace titanium in tea samples.
Związek arsenazo-III w roztworze 0,02 mol L-1 HS-1O2 może być utleniony przez bromian o ; potasu. Śladowe ilości Ti(IV) katalizują tę reakcje. Fakt ten wykorzystano do oznaczania tytanu w nowej katalitycznej i kinetycznej metodzie spektroanalitycznej. Zaproponowaną procedurę z powodzeniem zastosowano do oznaczania śladowych ilości tytanu w próbkach herbaty.
