W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję zarządzania cyklem życia (LCM) jako sposób na wzrost poziomu innowacyjności przedsiębiorstw. Przytoczono znaczenie podstawowych definicji LCM i wskazano miejsce idei wśród innych nowoczesnych koncepcji zarządzania. Wskazano ponadto zagadnienie ekoprojektowania wyrobów jako jedno z podstawowych narzędzi niezbędnych w zarządzaniu cyklem życia.

The life cycle management (LCM) concept as a method of increasing innovativeness of enterprises is presented in the paper. A meaning of main LCM definitions and a place of its ideas among other modern management concepts are given. The issue of products' ecodesign as one of basic tool in LCM is indicated.
