The paper presents the authors' opinions on enterprises' requisition to adjust to new reality shaped by requirements of environment protection, which are necessary for future existence on Earth. Sustaining production process, and especially technology, not having negative influence on natural environment requires long-term planning- in the aspect of ecology criteria. It is connected with modernization and restructuring of enterprises. The article also presents trends to base technology on promoted sources of renewable energy.
