Very topical issues of the Conference concern global scale and living space of a XXI century man. International Contest "Los Angeles Prize" - "Space for people in 2010 year", announced in 1986 year is worth to mention here. The question for participants was: "What will man's physical surroundings look like for 25 years and what will be the role of the newest scientific and technical achievements in forming of that surroundings". The works being sent, describe arduousness appearing in urban living space and some actions aimed at their liquidation or appeasement. Against the background of so widely formulated subject, the author would like to depict - in a synthetic manner because of limited volume of that work - present situation of aged and disabled people in urban space of a big city. That way of formulating of the mentioned problem aims at pointing threats and discomforts in daily life of all people of special care, irrespective of age as well as defining lines of action tending towards creating of urban space being friendly to these people.
