The paper presents an attempt to apply the method of diagnostic inference based on the context and examples of determining condition of a device, with special attention paid to a photovoltaic module. The above mentioned method is aimed at rationalizing identification of current state of a device operating under varying conditions. The paper describes a conception of diagnostic inference under real operating conditions of a photovoltaic module.
