This paper discusses the concept of the satellite insurance market. The author inspects if a special market for satellite insurance exists, tries to define the term "satellite insurance market" and its characteristic features. The article also examines the current status (capacity, rates, results) and factors of development of this market. To assess prospects of the satellite insurance market development SWOT analysis was used.
