In this paper, we establish some common fixed point theorems for selfmappings in uniform space by employing both the concepts of an A—distance and an E—distance introduced by Aamri and El Moutawakil [1], We employ a contractive definition independent of those of Olatinwo [8] and Aamri and El Moutawakil [1]. Our results are also independent of those of Olatinwo [8] as well as independent of Theorems 3.1-3.3 of Aamri and El Moutawakil [1].
