Experimental investigations of the process of condensation in a tube coil of a model condenser have been undertaken. The refrigerant R404A was supplied to the coil tube through a cut-off valve that was also used to introduce unit disturbances in the system. The induced disturbances were here to simulate the situations occurring in operational practice. The experimental investigations confirm the wave nature of propagation of disturbances in the two-phase system. The propagation of disturbance signals in the power installations takes place at finite velocities.
